Partnering for peace: How to drive stability and peace through and alongside humanitarian responses

Tuesday, 6 November 2018 from 14:30 to 15:45

Over the last decade, we have witnessed an increase in suffering in the most fragile of places, and how violent extremist groups aggravate these crises. In many fragile contexts, violent conflict and the resulting loss of lives and displacement shapes the crisis and frames the humanitarian response. While much of the international assistance in the midst of a complex crisis seeks to alleviate suffering by addressing the effects of conflict, there are important yet often untapped opportunities to lay the groundwork for peace through and alongside humanitarian responses. Panellists will illustrate different approaches to driving stability, peace and preventing violent extremism within humanitarian contexts and explore the benefits and challenges of partnering across sectors. This includes partnerships between the infrastructure and local private sector, and between humanitarian and preventing violent extremism actors.

My spouse and i felt very fulfilled John could carry out his survey through the precious recommendations he gained through your web site. It is now and again perplexing to just choose to be giving for free hints that many a number of people might have been making money from. We really realize we need the writer to be grateful to because of that. The main explanations you have made, the simple site menu, the relationships your site make it possible to foster – it’s got many great, and it is assisting our son and the family imagine that that subject matter is interesting, and that’s extremely mandatory. Thanks for all the pieces!
